Love & Hip Hop’s Brittney Taylor Says Fight W/ Remy Ma Started Over Misunderstanding About Her Stepdaughter, Asks For Witnesses To Come Forward

The plot thickens! “Love and Hip Hop: New York” star Brittney Taylor is revealing more details about her alleged fight with castmate, Remy Ma. She says that her black eye resulted from a “misunderstanding” regarding Remy’s stepdaughter – her husband, Papoose‘s, daughter Dejanae. Remy allegedly punched Brittney in the eye when they exchanged words at a fundraising concert hosted by Fat Joe last Tuesday (4/16/19). Brittney says their verbal sparring was about a domestic dispute between Dejanae and a man during a spring break trip in Miami:

“What happened with me and Dej in Miami is I saved her—I saved her life, and [Remy] got aggressive. She was like, ‘That’s not what I heard,’ and she punched me in the face.”

Brittney, then, took to social media to show the evidence of the attack – her swollen black eye.

NYPD is currently investigating the incident between the reality TV stars, due to the fact that Remy Ma’s parole just recently ended. The “All the Way Up” rapper was released from prison in 2014 after serving eight years for shooting woman. Remy could possibly return to prison if convicted for assaulting Brittney Taylor.

Brittney says that Remy ‘s alleged attack doesn’t support her being a role model:

“I just don’t feel like it’s okay for people to put their hands on someone that’s not being malicious to them, that’s being genuine. She’s supposed to be someone with the status and power that she can use for good or bad.”

She continued:

“She shouldn’t be punching someone — punching someone so hard in the face to the point that here we are four days later and my eye’s only getting worse. It really hurts.”

Taylor’s lawyer Sanford Rubenstein says that the reality star is

“cooperating fully with the NYPD criminal probe.”

He added,

“We are calling on any witnesses who saw what happened or have video of what happened to come forward.”

Remy Ma has yet to comment on the incident.
