Raz B Won’t Be Charged For Allegedly Assaulting Girlfriend
Earlier this week, troubled B2K member Raz B was arrested in Minnesota for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend. The incident caused him to miss B2K’s recent show in the same city, but now it’s being reported that he won’t be charged at all.
B2K’s Millennium Tour has been mostly a success, however it hasn’t been without its share of drama—mostly involving embattled member Raz B. Things took a serious turn recently when Raz B was arrested mere hours before their recent tour stop in Minnesota on suspicion of domestic violence for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.

Raz B was arrested on May 1st for domestic assault by strangulation after his girlfriend told a family member about the altercation, and that person then called authorities. Dispatch audio detailing the alleged assault states that Raz B’s girlfriend was being strangled by the ramp of a local Macy’s department store. However, Raz B claimed his girlfriend is the one who physically attacked him, and he was only defending himself.
According to reports, he will not be charged in the case. The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office in Minnesota concluded that after a thorough investigation, they didn’t feel there was enough evidence to prosecute Raz B.

The County Attorney’s Office also stated that local police interviewed Raz B’s girlfriend along with other witnesses, in addition to analyzing surveillance video from the scene of the incident—but didn’t see any sufficient evidence.
Raz B’s PR rep released at statement following the announcement of their client not being charged that read:
“Our client, Raz B, has been released from Hennepin County jail. No charges have been filed against him in regards to Wednesday morning’s events.”

B2K’s Millennium Tour is scheduled to end later this month, with the final stop being in Las Vegas. The group is also said to be joining the upcoming season of VH1’s popular series Love & Hip Hip: Hollywood.
