Safaree Samuels Slams PETA: Fur Is Important To The African American Community!
Love & Hip Hop star Safaree Samuels, recently took to social media to slam animals rights organization PETA over its harsh stance against not wearing fur—this is a fight that sure to heat up in no time, as PETA is known to go head-to-head with celebrities who endorse wearing fur.
Wearing fur in the hip hop community has been one of its most timeless and popular fashion statements. However, these days wearing fur quickly puts you in PETA’s line of fire to be ridiculed and called out on a regular basis.

Well, one member of the hip hop community, Safaree Samuels, just called out PETA, daring the organization to come for him, while also highlighting how they have treated fellow celebrities in the past and calling for a
“no fur ban.”
In an Instagram post, Safaree is seen wearing a knee-length coat with a fur collar as he stands in front of a window. However, it’s his caption that is sure to garner lots of attention.
Safaree wrote:
“Fur has long held importance to the African American community, but groups like PETA equate the fight for civil rights with animal rights, comparing the American Kennel Club to the Ku Klux Klan and calling Aretha Franklin “a walrus in a cat costume.” #NoFurBan @CoreyinNYC NO FUR BAN!!!”

Although the organization has yet to respond, it’s practically guaranteed that PETA will address Safaree’s post sooner rather than later—and thanks to social media, we’ll all get a front row seat.
