Lil’ Durk: I’m Turning Myself Into Police

Lil’ Durk Announces He Will Turn Himself Into Police
Rapper Lil’ Durk (real name Duke Banks), 26, made a shocking announcement on Wednesday afternoon, sharing with fans that he will be turning himself into authorities on Thursday. The Chicago rapper posted a black and white message adding a confused emoji sign, writing,
“Turning myself in tomorrow.”

After making his announcement on Wednesday, several artist and fans took to his comments in support including fellow Chicago rapper Chance The Rapper, Money Bag Yo, and Yella Beezy. Atlanta rapper, T.I. posted a few encouraging words,
“This too shall pass young King.”

Durk was arrested for gun possession in 2014. The rapper pleaded guilty to gun possession charges and was given probation. He told reporters afterwards,
“The key word is I’ll be staying out of trouble. You can put a capital ‘N’ — for never.”
At this moment, there are no reports of Durk being arrested nor wanted for any legal actions. Before pleading guilty, the rapper was busted with .40 caliber handgun after he threw the weapon in his car when police approached him in Chicago. Police recovered the loaded weapon and arrested Durk at the scene.

Fast forward to 2016, Durk was cleared by a Chicago judge of violating his probation with his arrest on a gun charge, leading prosecutors to drop those charges.
