Remy Ma Is Twinning With Stepdaughter: I Love Being A Mom!
Rapper Remy Ma was spotted during the Summer Jam festivities over the weekend with step daughter, DeJanae Mackie. The mother of five went into mommy mode as her step daughter wanted to attend the festivities on the day of Summer Jam, and Remy made sure her daughter had an enjoyable experience. The Grammy nominated rapper and DeJanae made an entire girls day that included shopping, hair, and make-up appointments before attending. Remy posted a photo of their matching outfits that included jean jackets with yellow two piece Kith jump suit and matching high heels. Remy shared a photo of their cute moment captioning the post:
“What do you do when your daughter calls at 10am the DAY OF saying she wants Summer Jam tickets but you don’t have any left. You go pick her up, y’all go shopping, have hair & makeup artists meet you at the crib, have your security & driver pick you up and you personally take her to the concert.”
She continues, adding not only did she deliver tickets, but also backstage passes with a suit included.
“Oh and don’t forget to throw in backstage passes and a suite ( TOTALLY came in handy when they evacuated the venue due to thunderstorms) I love being a mom; yesterday was soooo much fun!! Hope I made you happy babygirl.”
DeJana shared another photo of the pair twinning for the ‘gram and says that this was the first the rapper was able to attend and enjoy the show. She writes,
“Double trouble. This was her first time ever just enjoying the show without having to perform so we had a blast!”
As previously reported, in late May, prosecutors in the Brittany Taylor assault case officially filed four charges against Remy on May 24th in a New York court, including two counts of assault in the third degree, one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, and one count of harassment in the second degree. All of the charges are misdemeanors, which helps Remy slightly since she is already a convicted felon who was served previous jail time.
Remy was initially booked for misdemeanor assault after she turned herself in. However this latest development by prosecutors makes that charge and others official. Despite the pending charges, reportedly Remy has been offered a deal to plead guilty to just the most serious charge, assault in the third degree. If she agrees, then the remaining charges will be dropped, but she would also be required to attend a long-term anger management program. Remy has continued to maintain her innocence in the case due to her claims that she was home at 9:30 PM when Taylor said she was assaulted.
