Alex Rodriguez Refers To Idris Elba As ‘The Black Guy From The Wire’
Alex Rodriguez might have to clear up some things! The all-star MLB player was listing all of the celebrities who sat at his table for this year’s Met Gala back in May. He gave a rundown and called Idris Elba, who attended the event with Sabrina Dhowre,
“The Black guy from ‘The Wire’ — Idris Elba, yeah, and his new wife.”
He added,
“We had a great table… Some famous singer next to me, I don’t know what her name is. Versace — Donatella.”
Rodriguez seemed to have been joking about not knowing his fiancee, Jennifer Lopez, who was styled by Versace.

Rodriguez went on to say,
“We had Kylie and Kendall. And we had an Asian gentleman from ‘Rich Asians’ the lead.”
As for the Asian actor, Rodriguez was referring to Henry Golding.

Rodriguez was already called out by Kylie Jenner after he claimed,
“Kylie was talking about Instagram and her lipstick, and how rich she is.”
Jenner tweeted,
“Umm no I didn’t. We only spoke about Game of Thrones.”

Rodriguez chimed back with,
“OMG that’s right @KylieJenner!! It was me talking about you and your makeup line and how much my girls love you #GOT #respect #alllove.”

Meanwhile, he hasn’t received a response from Elba yet.
