Wedding bells are ringing for WeTV’s Growing Up Hip Hop cast member, Egypt Criss, the daughter of Salt-N-Pepa’s Pepa, and Treach of Naughty By Nature. theJasmineBRAND exclusively caught up with Criss and her new fiance, artist Sammattick, and she was all smiles as she said her parents gave him the green light to pop the question.

“He talked to my mom beforehand and my pops. He got both’s approval. I found out afterward.”

Sam also added,

“I talked to Pep and Treach. Both of them co-signed.”

He said it wasn’t an option for him to get their blessing first.

“Of course. I gotta pay respect. It’s the king and queen of Hip Hop. I gotta make sure I ask for the princess. I got both’s blessing.”

He then said we’ll see it all on Growing Up Hip Hop. Egypt added,

“Yeah stay tuned. You’re gonna see a lot. You’re gonna see a lot.”

And that’s not all. Sam also said,

“We’re about to be going on tour as well. And on top of that, here’s a little sneak peek people don’t know. I just had a meeting with Atlantic Records yesterday and Dreamville. Y’all gonna see what’s gonna happen soon. It’s going down.”

Egypt also expressed her joy over their upcoming wedding.

“I’ve been on cloud nine. This is the best feeling I’ve ever had. I’ve been so happy… booed up… everything.”

Sam also showed off a tattoo that appears to be Egypt’s face.

Egypt announced their engagement earlier this month.

She wrote,

“I just want to say not only am I still shocked that last night happened…

Their relationship debuted on season 4 of Growing Up Hip Hop. Her family and friends expressed concern over his allegedly controlling ways. See it at the 1:49 mark.

It looks like they’ve all come to an agreeement and buried the drama.

The engagement is a pretty big deal since they almost eloped in Las Vegas last year.

They also had a little drama after Lil Twist expressed his interest and Egypt and said he was better for her than Sam. See it at the 1:00 mark.

Egypt and Sam even hit the stage together on the show.

They released a song and video together last fall.
