Cardi B Salutes Female Rappers Who ‘Rap Their A** Off’ & ‘Don’t Talk About Their P***y’ After Jermaine Dupri Calls Out ‘Stripper Rappers’

Cardi B challenged Jermaine Dupri after he said female rappers today only speak on their lady parts.

She responded in an Instagram video and said,

“I have seen a lot of people that now-a-days [say] female rappers only talk about their p****y and s*** and now that Jermaine Dupri brung it up, now I’m gonna say something about it. First of all, I rap about my p***y because she’s my best friend. And second of all, it’s because it sems like that’s what people wanna hear.”

She added that people weren’t supportive of her single Be Careful at first and she took notes.

She continued,

“If that’s what people aren’t trying to hear then alright, then I’m gonna start rapping about my p***y again. And second of all, there’s a lot of female rappers that be rapping their a** off and don’t be talking about their p***y and don’t be talking about getting down and dirty and y’all don’t be supporting them. Y’all don’t be supporting them and they be mad dope. These bloggers don’t support them, they don’t give them the recognition…”

She had more to say in a follow-up video and saluted female rappers who don’t get a lot of recognition.

“Let me tell you about some rappers that are really dope that be rapping their a** off and I don’t feel like they get the recognition they deserve. Tierra Whack, Kamaiyah, Rapsody… there’s this girl called Oranicuhh… “

She added,

“I feel like we need to put these girls more in magazines, blogs… blogs… blogs… y’all need to start putting these girls on y’all blogs. Radio, DJs, y’all need to hear these girls, y’all need to play their music on the radio. My fans, I want y’all to hear these girls, cause these girls can rap their motherf***ing a** off and we need to support them. And they dont rap about their vajayjay, and they dont rap about sucking d***, and they’re dope a** rappers.”

It started when Jermaine Dupri had shared his thoughts on female rappers. During an interview he was asked who is his favorite rapper, and Cardi B was questioned as a possibility along with Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj.

He stated,

“I feel like they’re all rapping about the same thing. I don’t think they’re showing us who’s the best rapper. For me, it’s like strippers rapping. And as far as rap goes, I’m not getting ‘who is the best rapper?’ I’m getting, okay you got a story about you dancing in the club, you got a story about you dancing in the club, you got a story about you dancing in the club, okay. Who’s gonna be the rapper? At some point, somebody’s gonna have to break out of that mold and just rap about other things besides that.”
