Remy Ma Reacts To Nicki Minaj Lashing Out At Joe Budden: I Got Some Of The Things She Was Saying

Remy Ma has broken her silence on the controversy between Joe Budden and Nicki Minaj. Last week, Budden and Nicki had a couple of intense conversations as Nicki called out Budden for lying on her, among other things.

Surprisingly, despite her issues with Nicki in the past, Remy said she would have done the same thing.

“It’s her show. If I can get somebody that has been pissing me off for the past couple of years to sit there and tell them to shut the f*** up, make sure they are shutting the f*** up and turning their mic off and black on them, and know nothing is gonna happen… they’re gonna be like, ‘Can I speak? Can I respond? Can I say something? Can I get a word in?’ I’m gonna wail on you. And I got [my husband Papoose] sitting right there like, ‘What we doin’? Absolutely, I’m gonna go all the way with it.”

She added that it appeared as if Budden was there to help build his audience. But Remy said this is just the beginning of Budden getting “violated” by people who have an issue with him.

“That was mistake number 1, you’re never gonna win an argument with a woman. If you are winning the argument you’re gonna look stupid because that’s a woman. If you aren’t winning an argument you still look stupid cause you just got screamed on by a woman. You really can’t win in those type of situations. This is how people think.”

She continued and said,

“I watched it and I got some of the things she was saying because I know how that feels. To feel like people who are supposed to be your friends or peope you thought was cool with you, and then they same some left-field s***. You be like ‘I thought we was alright. It’s upsetting. It makes you angry, it makes you want to come for them.”

“Once I tuned out the stupid look on Joe’s face, and brought the volume down a litle bit.. What I got from it is that people who are in media positions they say things effortlessly, they don’t think about the repercussions. From the blogs, to the podcasts… All jokes aside, no shade no nothing. The way she felt, a lot of artists feel that. They get up there and they say what they want and they don’t fact check. They say certain s*** and it’s harmful. Sometimes it harms your brand, sometimes it personally harms you. Everyone wants to seem unbothered… You’re not less of a woman or less of a man if you say something bothers you; especially when you bust your a**, you work hard and you feel like ‘n***as is tearing me down.’ That’s what I heard underneath all of that.”

Check it out at the 8:33 mark.

It’s no secret Remy Ma and Nicki have had their issues in the past. The two reportedly took shots at each other in some of their songs, more recently Nicki’s verse in Jason Derulo’s “Swalla” in February 2017 where she rapped,

“I gave these b****es two years, now your time’s up/ Bless her heart, she throwing shots, but every line sucks.”

She also threw more shade in Gucci Mane’s “Make Love.” Nicki said,

“Oh oh, you the queen of this here? One platinum plaque, album flopped, b****, where?”

Fans, and even Remy, were convinced Nicki was referencing her. So she responded with shETHER.

Nicki then responded on Instagram, before releasing “No Frauds.”
