Terrence Howard Makes More Than $250K Per Episode On ‘Empire,’ Ordered To Pay Ex $1.3 Million In Spousal Support
Terrence Howard is bringing in lots of coins for his role as Lucious Lyon on Fox’s “Empire.” But he’ll have to give much of that to his ex-wife, Michelle Ghent, in spousal support.
Reportedly, Howard makes more than $250,000 per episode for the series. This is more than double the $120K he was bringing in per episode when the show first started back in 2015.
At the same time, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge granted Ghent $1.3 million in spousal support Friday. According to reports, $263K of that amount is in back spousal support, while an additional $1.05 million is in thanks to his salary boost. Interestingly enough, “Empire” is heading into its 6th and final season this fall.
Still, the judge’s order also comes after Ghent asked the court to order the actor to pay her $900,000 in back spousal support last year.
And that’s not all. The judge also said Howard will have to pay Ghent’s attorney’s fees. A hearing is scheduled for next week to determine exactly how much that will be, but Ghent reportedly said that amount will also be in the seven figures.
The two were married from 2010 to 2013.
Howard has since moved on with Mira Pak. Interestingly enough, they first married in 2013 and divorced in 2015. But Howard proposed to Pak again last December, which would mark his fifth marriage.
