Akon: Love & Hip Hop Isn’t Real, It’s Propaganda
Akon and his ex-wife/girlfriend – Konvict Music A&R Tricia Ana – recently made an appearance on VH1’s infamous reality TV franchise, “Love and Hip-Hop: Hollywood.” But the hitmaker doesn’t seem to be the biggest fan of the show. He recently addressed the show’s ongoing elephant in the room with Hot 97’s “Ebro in the Morning” show, calling the series, “fake.”
What he said may cause some issues with Mona Scott-Young:
“‘Love and Hip-Hop’ ain’t really real. That’s all propoganda…I am [on the show,] but I was there just to help create a storyline.”

Yikes! Akon continued, detailing what his company had to do in order to create reality TV:
“She actually is an A&R for my company – at the time. You know, this was shot, like, last year. So the whole idea was to create a platform to be able to promote our acts on it. So to make the story seem as real as possible, we did the boardroom spot. [We] did the studio building in LA just to create the storyline, and say, ‘Okay, that’s real!'”
He, noticeably, didn’t comment on whether or not he and Tricia Ana were still – or ever – in a relationship. theJasmineBRAND exclusively broke the news that they would be appearing on LHHH.
On the show, she reportedly brought former fling Micky Munday to Konvict Music.
