Wale Announces New Album Date During Therapy Session

Wale (real name Olubowale  Akintimehin), 34, is returning with a new album after announcing his sixth studio set for release next month. On Monday (Sept 16th), the D.C. native made the announcement with a short trailer that gives a playful inside look into his therapy session starring, Tetona Jackson in the role of therapist. In the video, Wale reveals the title of his next project, “Wow… That’s Crazy,” set to hit all platforms on Oct. 11. Wale writes a playful message about seeking a therapist,

“They said I needed to get help… so I did.”

Wale adds some interesting insight on his upcoming album, sharing how he created his album title,

“So I been sittin wit this album title for a long time .. I encourage y’all to tweet search  my name and wow/ crazy for all the knowledge I’ve been Droppin lmao thank me later.”

Over the summer, Wale declared himself one of the greatest rappers of all time. His self proclaiming reference became a trending topic on Twitter as he inserted himself into the greatest-of-all-time debate. While catching a flight and paying $34.99 to get access to in-flight WiFi, he tweeted,

“I’m one of the greatest rappers of all time. There I said it…”

Wale continued by defending his greatest of all time status with his resume starting with his previous album released April 2017.

“Last album had one platinum and two gold singles. I just don’t be talkin my talk all the time cuz I got some things goin on in my head.. but what we not gon do is act like the hits haven’t been comin for ten years. Okurrrr.”

Wale will hit the road on his “Everything Is Fine” tour, which kicks off Sept. 20 in Fort Lauderdale and wraps Oct. 28 in Seattle.
