KeKe Palmer Reveals Why She Turned Down Mike Johnson’s Date Invite: “I felt ambushed!”
The gag is, KeKe Palmer won’t be one half a celebrity couple anytime soon. Former “Bachelorette” contestant, Mike Johnson, deflected questions about his date with singer Demi Lovato by asking KeKe out live on her talk show, “Strahan, Sara, and KeKe!”
KeKe Palmer has since revealed why she decided to pass on Mike’s romantic offer. She told her co-hosts:
“I get real spooked about entertainers or reality [stars]…I don’t know, it really scares me to date people in the industry. That’s No. 1. No. 2: He asked me in front of everybody. I felt ambushed. I felt like it was a big ol’ gag.”

Mike Johnson seems to be taking it on the chin, updating fans with this tweet:
“@MikeJohnson1_ For those with untrue assumptions.. I’m grateful to be in your thoughts…
1. I deflected a question posed to me on my dating life – made a playful comment
2. I love black women too
3. Im happy, those are the vibes”
