Monica & Shannon Brown’s Divorce Finalized

Shannon Brown and Monica (real name Monica Arnold) are officially divorced, according to reports. The 38-year-old singer filed for divorce from the former 33-year-old NBA star in March. Reportedly, the divorce was finalized today (Oct. 22nd) at a court hearing in Fayetteville, Georgia.

Just a day before the finalization of their divorce, social media users spotted Shannon Brown moving along like all was well between him and the singer.

He unapologetically posted a number of comments and swooned over her style and swag on Instagram Monday (Oct. 21).

He also shared a photo of him and Monica on his own page. In the photo, Monica is flipping off the camera. Brown suggested that’s his current mood and wrote,

“When people don’t know to mind their own business…”

Just a couple of days ago, he suggested he wanted to give away his wedding ring.

It was previously reported that Monica filed for divorce in March. It’s still not clear what caused her to make the move. But she made it clear there are no hard feelings between them in a recent interview.

“We were married almost nine years, and I think life changes really got the best of both of us at times. I take accountability for what my part is. Divorce has not been easy.”

“Everywhere I go, it’s the first thing that comes up. One thing about me is, I’m gonna respect him to the death, though. Because he didn’t do anything. … I don’t hate him. … I think there’s a difference when you walk away from something and you real mad.”
