Shaquille O’Neal’s Sister Passes After Battle With Cancer [CONDOLENCES]

Shaq Mourns Sister After She Dies From Battle With Cancer [CONDOLENCES]
Shaquille O’Neal is grieving the loss of his sister, Ayesha Harrison-Jex, this week.
His friends at NBA on TNT announced the news as they pointed out he was missing from the special Thursday (Oct. 24), because of his sister’s passing. Host Ernie Johnson said,
“He said his world revolves around his brother and two sisters and he lost one of his sisters this morning far too early at the age of 40 from cancer. Ayesha Jex has been battling the illness for the last three years. Shaquille O’Neal is back with his family… He’s struggling, and when he struggles, we struggle with him because he’s one of our brothers and we feel for him tonight.”
He added that Harrison-Jex was mom to son Bryce, and previously earned her Bachelor and Master’s Degrees.
“She will be laid to rest in a military cemetary, and it will be right next to Sergeant Phillip Harrison. You’ve heard Shaquille talk in the past about he’s the man who made Shaq the man he is and the profession he is, and the hall-of-famer he is. Hearts are breaking in Shaq’s family, and in our family as well.”
Charles Barkley also sent a special shout out to O’Neal’s mother, who has been Barkley’s mom’s BFF for three decades.
“When my mom passed away, she came and spent her last few days with my mom. So I just want to give Miss Lucille a hug and tell her I love her and what she did for my mom at the end. I can never thank them enough and I feel for and Shaquille and the rest of the family also.”
"Big Fella, you hang in there."
