Kanye West’s Credits God For $68 Million Tax Refund
Kanye West’s praise is going strong. The rapper has been open about his newfound relationship with Jesus Christ, and is giving God props on a major tax credit.
He said during an interview that a $68 million tax credit he received is a blessing from God.
“God is using me to show off. Last year I made $115 million and still ended up $35 million in debt. This year I looked up and I just got $68 million returned to me on my tax returns.”
He added,
“People need to hear [from] someone that has been put into debt by the system, talk about these type of numbers now that they’re in service to Christ.”
He confirmed that he believes his “spiritual awakening” is part of his success.
“Absolutely! [God] is showing off, He’s showing out. Kanye West works for God!”
See it at the 12:58 mark.
Reports say the tax credit is also in thanks to a tax break introduced by President Donald Trump.
Still, this isn’t the first time Kanye West has credited God for his success.
In a different interview, he opened up about how God has helped his Yeezy brand flourish.
“I fear and love God. When you remove the fear and love of God, you create the fear and love of everything else. You’re talking to somebody right now that only fears God and Jesus has won the victory bro. This is my opinion… I ain’t calculating nothing. And God is using us to show off. When I was calculating things, I was ending up in debt. Next thing you know, I’m not even on Instagram, and Yeezy is the number 1 Google searched brand on the planet…above Louis Vuitton, above Nike, above Adidas… Yeezy! And I’m not even a part of the culture, I’m cancelled…I’m not on the gram. And it’s the number 1 brand. Last valuation I got was $3 billion, and these are people that are trying to buy it. So it must be worth $6 [billion].”
See that at the 12:27 mark.
