Caitlyn Jenner Says Her Transition Into A Woman Was Harder Than The Olympics, ‘A Lot Of People Hate Your Guts’
Caitlyn Jenner is opening up about the hate she received after transitioning from Bruce Jenner.
The big change happened in 2015, and Caitlyn revealed it was even more difficult than taking on the Olympics like Bruce did back in the day.
Caitlyn said on BBC’s “Don’t Tell Me The Score” podcast,
“I trained 12 years for the games. I trained 65 years to transition in 2015. It was harder to do, it was less accepted. ‘Everyone loved the games, a lot of people when they see you transition hate your guts. Look at the quotes on Instagram. By far that was a lot more difficult.”
“I have the great double. Olympic decathlon champion and Glamour’s Woman of the Year.”
While Bruce was successful in sports, Caitlyn added that there was never true satisfaction.
“A lot of the training was really running away from the issues I had. I remember getting up the next morning, didn’t have a stitch of clothes on, walking to the bathroom, medal sitting there on the table, put the medal around my neck, looking in the mirror and I go: what have you just done?”
“Am I stuck with this person the rest of my life? Did you build up this person so big, that you’re stuck with him the rest of your life? It was scary.”
Even though the change came shortly after his split with Kris Jenner (after more than 20 years of marriage), Caitlyn said their breakup wasn’t because of the transition.
“Kris and I went our separate directions. It wasn’t for me to transition or anything to do with that. We changed apart. There was no argument, no nothing, we did our divorce agreement in one day.”
“We both knew it was the right thing to do. I leased a house in Malibu to get out, and yeah we’re on good terms today.”
Besides, some of their kids were fully aware of it all.

“I actually got caught by Kim (Kardashian) once. With Kendall and Kylie (Jenner) I didn’t know I got caught but they said they snuck around a corner or something, and I was cross-dressed or whatever, which is not good to do with kids.”
“But they all knew. They know but no one is going to talk about it. It’s the big secret.”
It’s been years since Caitlyn went public with her transition. And it looks like she’s going international as reports say she’s landed the highest-paid role on an Australian reality show “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.”
The show, which first aired in 2002, follows stars as they try to survive the dangers of an Australian jungle.
Caitlyn is said to be getting $647,000 for the gig, which is more than any other celebrity. One source said,
“She’s such a huge name and a great get for producers. [The network] ITV thinks she is one of their best ever signings. It’s a real bolt from the blue. They’ve asked her every year for a long time, but she finally felt the time was right.”
But an insider for the show also said,
“Any names suggested for I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! are just speculation until we officially confirm our line up.”
