Kanye West and Dr. Dre To Collaborate For ‘Jesus Is King Part II’

Kanye West is back in the studio just weeks from his Jesus Is King release. On Monday (Nov. 18th), took to Twitter to announce a Jesus Is King part 2 in the works with a powerful hip-hop legend, Dr. Dre for an epic follow up release. Kanye tweeted a photo of the two titans in the studio. He writes,

“Ye and Dre, Jesus is King Part II coming soon.”

Dre shared the same image on Instagram and many took his comments with high anticipation for the hip-hop royalty collaboration.

Jesus Is King was announced for a release on September 27, 2018, until it’s official release date October 25.

Kanye opened up on his first time meeting Dre in an interview.

“I first met Dre in December of 2003. He asked me to produce a track for the Game. At first I was star-struck, but within 30 minutes I was begging him to mix my next album. He’s the definition of a true talent: Dre feels like God placed him here to make music, and no matter what forces are aligned against him, he always ends up on the mountaintop.”

Over the weekend, he made headlines after bringing his Sunday Service to Joel Osteen’s church in Dallas. He told the congregation during his appearance:

“Because every time I stand up, I feel that I’m standing up and drawing a line in the sand and saying, ‘I’m here in service to God and no weapon formed against me shall prosper’. Jesus has won the victory. I told you about my arrogance and cockiness already. Now the greatest artist that God has ever created is now working for him.”
