LeBron James Responds To Utah Jazz Broadcaster Who Called Him Disrespectful For Celebrating On The Sidelines [VIDEO]
LeBron James took to Instagram on Thursday (Dec. 5th), in response to Utah Jazz broadcasters, Matt Harpring and Craig Bolerjack, who took offense to LeBron’s on court celebration for his Lakers squad as he sat on the bench. During the fourth quarter of the Lakers 121-96 win over the Jazz on Wednesday (Dec. 4th), both broadcasters discussed their disappointment in LeBron’s on court reaction to a Lakers defensive possession play. See their reaction below.
Harpring: Look at LeBron, he’s on the court.
Bolerjack: With no shoes, mind you.
Harpring: What the heck is going on here?
Bolerjack: That’s some disrespect right there. Please. This isn’t playground ball.
Harpring: I mean they are clowning right now, on that bench side.
In response, LeBron wrote:
“Imagine doing your job at the highest level to where you’re not needed anymore, giving your shoes to a lil girl and boy who you inspire and hoped you made proud that night, then cheering on your teammates cause you love seeing them succeed more than yourself only to be criticized while doing it. People it’s the world we live in and you can’t let it ever stop you from your purpose in life.”
He continued, adding how negativity will not bring him down as he pushes forward.
“Negativity, bad energy, hate, envy, etc etc will try to bring you down throughout your journey and it’s up to you on how you handle it. I handle it by simply saying “Thank You” with a ? on my face and continue to push forward while doing it! LIVE.LAUGH.LOVE.”
In addition, prior to his on court celebration, LeBron was seen gifting his on court LeBron 17’s sneakers to a young boy and girl .

As previously reported, the decorated NBA superstar recently gave another young fan his sneakers during the Lakers road trip to New Orleans in late November. A young fan named Eli, who was celebrating his 12th birthday, was accompanied by his best friend Dallas, and Dallas’s dad Billy, who all sat behind the Lakers bench.
The birthday boy immediately became emotional while receiving his LeBron 17s.
“I heard him screaming my name…I tried to throw him my arm sleeve, it got intercepted by a grown up. I tried to throw my rubberband to him. It got intercepted by a grownup. So, I knew not to throw my shoes because I didn’t want to those to be intercepted by a grownup.
LeBron said he heard this young man supporting him during the game. He first tried to throw him his armband and wristband, but both were intercepted by adults. pic.twitter.com/6dj9jHDjSF
