She commented on the news with this Twitter post:
“I can’t believe it… The SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME!!!! This is truly one of the greatest honors of my career. I’m so proud and humbled to be in the company of such legendary songwriters – both previously inducted as well as the incredible class of 2020! @SongwritersHOF”

Among the other inductees are The Isley Brothers, Rick Nowels, Steve Miller, Eurythmics, William “Mickey” Stevenson, and Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo of The Neptunes. A few of The Neptunes’ many hits include Nelly‘s “Hot In Herre” and Britney Spears‘ “I’m a Slave 4 U.”
The Isley Brothers are without a question legends thanks to hits they’ve written like “It’s Your Thing.”

Congratulations, inductees!
