Former NBA Star Delonte West Allegedly Attacked On The Street [WATCH]

Incredibly disturbing footage circulated on Twitter last night (Jan. 20) of a man being violently attacked in the middle of a freeway. That man is said to be former NBA point guard Delonte West. In the viral Instagram Story, user @kikithediva7 captured video live in the act of a man punching and kicking an alleged disheveled Delonte West in the middle of traffic.

“FORMER NBA PLAYER DELONTE WEST TOOK AN L IN FRONT OF MY TRUCK THIS MORNING…FORMER NBA PLAYER DELONTE WEST MADE SOMEONE [angry emoji]…FROM NBA TO THIS… DELONTE WEST”

Twitter user @N90sKindOfWorld seemingly confirms his identity, claiming West is a former classmate:

“Apparently Delonte West was seen getting beat up in the street this Morning. I went to school with him and it’s crazy to see just how his life has gone downhill since the NBA.”

A closer look at the 36-year-old was, later, released with him sitting on a curb in dirty clothing, screaming about military affiliations:

“Man I was walking down the street! The man approached me with a gun! I don’t give a f*ck! I don’t give a f*ck! I’m the leader of the godd*mn motherf*ckin’ Navy seals! And the Army, and the Navy! I’m worst than President Trump! I’m the real motherf*ckin’ President!”

This isn’t the first time West has made this level of braggart statements. In 2012, he was banned from visiting the White House with the rest of his teammates due to previous legal issues. He made a statement concerning the ordeal, according to the Fort-Worth Star-Telegram:

“I’m banned from going to the White House, so I’m not going to make it. But I’m going home to D.C., I’m just not allowed to go to the White House. That’s what happens when you make bad decisions in your life. You can’t go to the White House. I’ve been there 100 times in my lifetime. I live right around the corner. I live in D.C. It’s going to be a shame the President isn’t going to get a chance to meet me. I’m the president of my house.”

Many sports industry figures, such as reporter Taylor Rooks and former NFL’er Dez Bryant, are urging the NBA to intervene and offer West help.

His college teammate, Jameer Nelson, also pleaded for help on his friend’s behalf.

A photo has also surfaced of Delonte and what appears to be his young son.

Delonte West lent his talents to the Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Dallas Mavericks between the years of 2004 and 2012.

Let’s pray that all is well with him!
