Remy Ma Addresses Social Media User Who Criticizes Her For Shouting Out Versace

Remy Ma wasted no time to reply to a fan who came for her after she gave Versace a shout out Wednesday (Feb. 12).

The rapper and “Love & Hip Hop: New York” star donned the luxury brand before appearing on “The Wendy Williams Show” Wednesday (Feb. 12). She added the caption on Instagram,

“Versacy, Versace, @Versace #RemyMa #PrettyBrown”

And one fan had an issue with the caption. @i_ear_u2 wrote,

“I just finished having a conversation with 2 people about everytime a entertainer mentions, wears, uses a product/brand, whether a designer or product they boost the brand’s sales higher. And, those are valid reasons to get paid by the designer, or product. You just boosted their sales even higher. Do you know if and/or how much they donate to organizations? Will they give back to you if ever in need? Brand Ambassadors and Influencers for well known brand deserves big paychecks from the companies.”

Remy Ma might have been booked and busy, but she took time to respond. She told the critic,

“You posted about your food from Subway- do you know how much they donate to organizations? Will they feed you if you’re ever hungry? You not a brand ambassador/influencer but that well known company deserve s to at least give you a small paycheck”

The critic then answered to clarify the comment.

“I wasn’t being sarcastic, and I am NOT a celebrity, but I am a Brand Ambassador, so there is a difference. And, yes I do get paid for promoting any brands. I commented that information merely to make people more aware of other ways to get paid by the brands, but since you took offense to it speaks volumes. I commented and fell back to sleep, and to wake up and see I received so many replies is IMPRESSIVE, especially since I wasn’t being negative. I’ll address ALL of the others accordingly. So to answer your question, YES, I do get paid to promote brands, and YES Subway donates volumes to organizations I submit for.”
