Kanye West Hands Out Free Yeezy Sneakers In Armored ATV In Chicago [VIDEO]

Rapper and Chicago native, Kanye West debuted his highly anticipated latest Adidas collection of his popular Yeezy line by handing out to free pairs to fans in Chicago Friday (Feb. 14th). In a video captured, onlookers were seen in a frenzy for their chance to grab a pair of Kanye’s YZY QNTM shoe.

To distribute his sneakers, the rapper used vehicles, which resemble smaller versions of Russian-designed ATVs. The shoes are the upcoming YZY QNTM model, which is currently not scheduled for a nationwide release.

Throughout the day, Kanye and the ATVs vehicles were seen parked in different locations across the city ahead of its scheduled launch including Wicker Park as the first destination. However, the Quantum carry a heavy price tag, reportedly retailing at $250 a pair.

Fans have long awaited for the release of the Yeezy Quantum since 2018. All around the city of Chicago, fans fought through the cold in freezing 17 degrees Chicago weather, chasing several of the ATVs.

The last decade has been very impressive for Kanye’s Yeezy collection. His empire has reportedly grown to $1.5 billion in sales, according to Forbes. He says in 2019,

“I am a product guy at my core. To make products that make people feel an immense amount of joy and solve issues and problems in their life, that’s the problem-solving that I love to do.”
