Nicki Minaj’s Husband Registers As A Sex Offender Amid Dropped Charges, Sources Say Nicki Is “Standing By Her Man”
Rap diva Nicki Minaj‘s husband, Kenneth Petty, may be facing legal trouble, but she’s reportedly remaining by his side. After being charged with failing to register as a sex offender in the state of California, Kenneth Petty was arrested last week. But following a Los Angeles County Superior Court appearance, those charges have been dropped. He is officially registered as a sex offender in LA.

But, Nicki’s husband isn’t totally off the hook. A representative for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office gave this comment:
“The Kenneth Petty case was dismissed today because he faces similar charges in federal court.”
His offender status stems from a 1995 first-degree attempted rape case, which he served time fore. However, New York State’s Sex Offender Registry guidelines specify that offenders must notify authorities within 10 days of changing their address. Kenneth made the permanent move to Los Angeles with Nicki last July.

But, Nicki Minaj is apparently holding it down for her hubby despite his legal woes. An alleged source told Hollywood Life:
“Kenneth’s arrest is embarrassing but it is not a relationship killer whatsoever. She has known Kenneth forever and knows the person he is and is in love with him and she wants this to go away as quickly as possible…She will likely address it in some way during a future Queen Radio but again she would rather have this not to have happened but it is not going to be something that will alter her relationship with him negatively.”
Another source states:
“Nicki is standing by her man and she just hopes he learns from this. She hopes something like this doesn’t happen again but if it does, they’ll deal with it. It doesn’t change anything.”
Kenneth Petty and Nicki Minaj tied the knot on October 21, 2019.
