Erykah Badu Congratulates Jay Electronica, Whom She Shares A Child With, On His New Album: This Sh*t Fire!

Elusive rap favorite, Jay Electronica, has finally released his long-awaited debut studio album, A Written Testimony. After a decade-long hiatus, Jay’s first official body of work features the likes of The Dream, Travis Scott, and most notably – his Roc Nation boss, Jay-Z.

When Jay Electronica announced the album’s release date, fans quickly noticed Hov pressing the like button on the promotional tweets. A photo was even released of him in the studio with the rapper.

However, we didn’t know this was a clue that he would be featured on nearly all of the songs! Jay Electronica’s uber-famous baby mama, singer Erykah Badu, even congratulated him on the body of work. She posted this message on Instagram:

“@erykahbadu @jayelectronica congrats beloved. May you have all that is for you . We love you . This sh*t fire… And Water. Rise Young Gods.”

Does this mean the pair has rekindled their flame? Last summer, while Erykah conducted an IG Live session, he joked that she’d always belong to him:

“Erykah belongs to me. She’s my daughter… Fix your face don’t play with me on this Instagram with these people. She’s my first daughter, she’s my wife, she’s my baby mama, she’s my spiritual healer, and she’s my porn star. So all you n***as in this DM, get the f*** out the DMs or you gonna have to deal with me.”
