Kim Kardashian’s Team Tries To Stop Release Of Novel Based On Her Ray J Sex Tape
Despite all of her many massively successful retail endeavors, prison reform work, and new life as a mother and wife – Kim Kardashian just can’t seem to escape her past. According to Page Six, Kim Kardashian and her team are working diligently to stop the release of an upcoming novel titled, “Post Famous.” The book, penned by alleged former friend, Kevin Dickson, is said to be based on her sextape scandal with ex-boyfriend, Ray J.
According to insiders, the story points directly to the reality star – including the main character’s name – Zia Zandrian – and the description of her appearance. In the book, Zia Zandrian was paid $5 million for her sextape. This is said to be the amount Kim was allegedly paid by Vivid for the rights to “Kim Kardashian, Superstar.” An anonymous source said that a publisher has backed out of the book deal due to pressuring from Kim and company:
“It seemed a dead certainty that the deal would happen. Another author [who writes for] the same publisher even reached out to Kev to say that they were excited because they’d heard that they were [now both] going be published by the same company…[but, the legal backlash] wouldn’t be worth the hassle.”
Kim Kardashian has repeatedly expressed that she regrets making the tape:
“I did ecstasy once and I got married. I did it again, I made a sex tape. Like, everything bad would happen…If I do have one regret in life that’s it…Maybe that’s how some people heard of me but I didn’t launch my career off of that.”
Meanwhile, Ray J, at times, has poked fun of the controversy.
