R. Kelly’s Ex-Girlfriend Azriel Clary Issues Apologizes To Family – ‘Family is everything’

R. Kelly’s ex-girlfriend Azriel Clary, 23, says she’s taking responsibility for her actions while publicly making amends with her family. On Monday (March 23rd), Azriel took to her Instagram with photos of her lounging around during quarantine. While taking a moment to reflect on her past, Azriel wrote a lengthy apology, starting with her family. She begins,

“It’s so easy for all of us to get so consumed in work, life, and just keeping up with society. glad to have this time to focus on self-love, and healing with my family.”

She continued,

“Family is everything, and more than anything I’m thankful my family and the world prayed for me and welcomed me with loving arms. I am now mature enough to put my pride to the side and apologize for all the humiliation and embarrassment I’ve put my family through.”

Azriel ends with a raw emotional message on being an alleged victim of R. Kelly’s abuse.

“Please do not degrade victims, people will kill for love if told to do so. I’m just thankful my prior relationship never led to that extent. abuse is a real thing, physically, mentally, and verbally. be kind to others.. you never know what they may be going through. continue to thrive.”

As reported back in January, Azriel returned home to her parents after allegedly being forced to live with Kelly at his Trump Tower condo in Chicago.

Her mother also confirmed,

“The battle is won because she’s still here, she’s still alive, she’s still breathing and though she lost a few years of her life, she’s still here to tell her story. Because I chose not to keep her secluded in her life, she’s here now and we’re able to say the victory is won because she finally came to her senses and she’s back home with her family.”

She also said that Azriel, still has the mind of a 17-year-old, the age she was when she allegedly moved in with R. Kelly.

“Everybody has something to say, she was 17 when she left. Now she’s 22, but guess what? She’s had problems for the last few years. She may have done things as far as being grown physically as a young woman, but mentally no. She still has the mental capacity of a 17-year-old because he kept her stagnated for years and didn’t let her be with her family.”
