Jet Blue isn’t the only airline to have a flight attendant test positive for Covid-19. An American Airlines flight attendant named Paul Frishkorn, 65, not only tested positive but also died from the virus early this week. This lead to American Airlines CEO Doug Parker to implement new precautions such as limited food and beverage options to limit interactions between attendant and customer.
The airline released the following statement:
“Our industry, our airline and all of us have been affected by COVID-19 in different ways, but until now we hadn’t lost one of our own. This loss hits home in a different, personal way from the headlines.”
What are your thoughts? Should airlines temporary shut down until this pandemic is under control?
