Update #2: (Friday, April 10). Sheree Whitfield is thanking her fans for their support as she and officials search for hr mother, who’s been missing for roughly two weeks.
She took to Instagram to share her gratitude and wrote,
“I truly appreciate the outpouring of love, support, & prayers for my mother’s safe return home. I know this no doubt will move mountains & bring her home. My family & I are humbly thankful for each & every post, repost, notification, text, & phone call. Most importantly, I can’t say this enough, I thank you for continued prayers. We are continuing to keep the faith & staying positive at this time.”
Original Story: On Wednesday, April 8th, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta Star” Sheree Whitfield, requested prayer and help after filing a missing person’s report for her mother, Thelma Ferguson, on her Instagram page.
She shared a photo of her mother with the caption,
“Please keep my mom and my family in your prayers! We all know that prayers can move mountains!!! I was hesitant to post my concerns for my mother’s safe return because, although I have been in close contact with the police for the past two weeks.”
Atlanta’s WSB-TV confirmed that the 77-year-old was last seen on March 23rd after leaving her home in Sandy Springs, GA. wearing. According to reports, she was wearing gray pants and a black shirt. She was driving a gray 2009 Honda Accord with Georgia tag: RMZ5773.
Sheree Whitfield, 50, explained why she waited to share her nightmare on social media.
“I’m also pretty private when it comes to my family. Also, in the past, my mom has taken personal vacations without letting the family know and we respect that side of her. However, this is the longest she have gone without reaching out to anyone from the family or her friends. Right now we are leaning on God and staying positive and prayerful for her safe return home.”
She added,
HOME is where the HEART is and prayer in numbers work. As we all continue to navigate through these uncertain times, remember the blessings of having each other…. Family is everything! I ask that everyone pray for my mother’s safe return home.
