Jordyn Woods Wants To Venture Into Music, Plans To Drop 1st Album This Year & Start A Record Label
It looks like Jordyn Woods’ recent stint on Fox’s “The Masked Singer” boosted her confidence in singing!
She was unmasked on Wednesday’s (April 8) episode, leaving many shocked that it was her voice behind the kangaroo.
Now, the former reality star said we haven’t heard the last of her voice.
She said she’s actually working on an album, will be heading back to the studio as soon as the nationwide quarantine lifts. She told ET:
“I have not been able to get to the studio. But as soon as everything clears up and we can leave again and I can get to the studio, that is as soon as you guys will get [an album]. Hopefully before the end of 2020. And I’m talking, like, as soon as possible.”
She continued and said while this is a “passion project”, she isn’t signed to a label but suggested she wants to launch one herself.
“I’m going to most likely start my own label and be signed under myself rather than going to a label… The possibilities are endless.”
If she gets her way, her best friend Jaden Smith will be featured on her debut album. In fact, he was the one that pushed her to do music to begin with.
“For sure! I think that is a no-brainer. It’s like being with your best friend and having fun.”
“Jaden’s been one of my biggest motivators from the beginning. Last year, when I was just in the house, I started writing and teaching myself how to play the piano and he’s one of the first people that was like, ‘Jordyn, where’s the album?’ And this was before I even went on the show or anything. He always pushed me to really do something. So, now it’s finally happening.”
