Cardi B On Her IG Live w/ Bernie Sanders: I Give You The Real While Entertaining You, Almost A Million People Tuned In!
Cardi B has been a vocal supporter of Bernie Sanders for a few months now and on Tuesday night (April 14th), the two were reunited. Cardi B and Bernie Sanders had an Instagram Live and discussed politics, President Donald Trump, the coronavirus and the overall state of the U.S.A. Their video has become a popular topic this week, with the 27-year-old rapper receiving praises for how she used her platform to address important issues.
Cardi B took to Instagram Wednesday (April 15th) to reflect on her recent Instagram Live video with Senator Bernie Sanders.
She added the caption,
“Listen I don’t talk like a CNN corespondent and I don’t use all this fancy vocabulary but I do give you THE REAL while entertaining you at the same time to keep your attention on what’s important. I have a platform of 62.7 million followers and yesterday my live had 133K viewers and almost a million people tuned in. I just want to bring awareness to what’s going on in our country and around the world. I want to make sure all my followers are AWARE and make a CHANGE! WE HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE A CHANGE! And a special thank you to Bernie, you’ll always be my favorite candidate!”
It is clear that Cardi B wants her fans to be aware and involved. During the live, she brought up being disappointed that Bernie Sanders was no longer in the presidential race. She explained she was so focused on Sanders she hadn’t done much research on the remaining democratic candidate Joe Biden.
“I know the youth supports you so much [….] I keep telling the youth, and I keep telling my people and my supporters, You guys really have to go and vote. Now we’re stuck between 45 (we’re not going to name him over here), and Joe Biden.” She does express that she will vote for Joe Biden. ” I cannot see the next step of America being ran by number 45.”
