Missy Elliot Turns Art Alive in Colorful “Cool Off” Music Video [WATCH]
Iconic visualist, Missy Elliott proves her legendary status as a walking museum work of art in her latest music video for “Cool Off.” While under the direction of Daniel Russell, Missy Elliott reintroduces fans on Tuesday (April 21st), to her 2019 EP sounds of ‘Iconology,’

In the video, Missy Elliott kicks off the visual as an art gallery statue dipped in bronze turning a simple all white museum into a colorful nightclub. The visually eye-catching visual features Missy’s true iconic vision with bright and throwback tracksuits

To add to the neon brightness, Missy Elliott and her booty-shakin’ crew of dancers matched with their high energy dance moves on display throughout the video. Meanwhile, Missy reappears in a colorful outfit as a bobbing, tilting doll rolling around to the beats.

Towards the end of the video, singer Teyana Taylor and the adorable young teen reprises her museum guide role from Missy’s “DripDemeanor” music video. While continuing their tour of the art gallery, Taylor dramatically schools the young teen about Missy, dubbing her as,
“the greatest, most timeless woman of all time.”

The “Cool Off” video is the latest in Missy’s legendary lineup of visually creative music videos, which led to her winning the 2019 MTV VMAs Video Vanguard Award last summer,
“I have worked diligently for over two decades. And I never thought that I would be standing up here receiving this award. I want to dedicate this award to the dance community all around the world. Y’all are the icing on the cake, y’all are the beat to the heart. I dedicate this to every dance community out there.”
