Gospel Artist Yolanda Adams Reveals Her 90s Crush Was Rapper Busta Rhymes!

Yolanda Adams has opened up her heart about a surprising crush on 90s rap artist Busta Rhymes! In a new clip from the brand new show “Girlfriends Check-In” on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN TV network, Yolanda Adams is seen chopping it up quarantine-style with fellow Gospel singers Tasha Cobbs-Leonard, Erica Campbell, and Tamela Mann. The show will feature numerous celebrity girlfriends getting together digitally during the nationwide quarantine.
Tamela Mann starts the clip by asking the ladies to “fess up” to who their 90s celebrity crushes were and tells Yolanda Adams to start them off.  Adams first asks the group:
Does anybody have an idea of mine’s?
Tasha Cobbs-Leonard jumps right in with no hesitation with Erica Campbell echoing her agreement:
I think it’s Busta Rhymes!
Adams then bursts into laughter saying:
You all know me so well!
Then she follows it up with a quick story:
Well, remember when Busta Rhymes was like a gym rat and all of that kind of stuff?
Erica Campbell: We remember.
We were on the same label. I was having a meeting with the president of the company and he walks in and I’m just like [Adams stares into space as if she’s staring at Busta Rhymes]…

The “Open My Heart” singer is even seen rapping some of the lyrics from Busta Rhymes‘ 1997 hit “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See!” There hasn’t been a social media response from Busta just yet about this surprising secret crush.

However, this clip of the upcoming premiere episode of “Girlfriends Check-In” is sure to have many tuning in to see who Tasha Cobbs-Leonard, Tamela Mann, and Erica Campbell were crushing on back in the day!
The show airs on OWN Saturday night, May 16 at 10 PM Eastern/9 Central.
