112’s Q Parker & Darron Jones Will NOT Participate In Verzuz Battle Against Jagged Edge: We Have A Legal Issue With Our Group!
Many fans of the R&B groups 112 and Jagged Edge were excited to hear that the group’s would be going head to head in a Verzuz battle over the Memorial Day weekend. However, the news recently broke that two of the original members of 112, Quinnes “Q” Parker and Darron Jones will not be involved in the musical battle.
In a statement on his Instagram page, Q Parker announced that he and Darron Jones won’t be participating in the virtual battle,
“Dear 112 Fans,
Thank you for the outpouring love and support. It is incredible and we appreciate how much of your heart and souls you have poured into our careers. We are simply blown away by the passion you have for our music. But unfortunately, we will not be participating in the upcoming Verzuz with Jagged Edge due to an ongoing legal issue that is not settled.
P.S. from our mouth to your hearts, Darron and I never quit 112 nor our fans. This is a fabricated lie and it is not our narrative. In due time you will receive the true narrative. Until then, we love you and thank you again for your continued support.”

The Verzuz battle, which was first announced by Swizz Beatz, was scheduled to take place between the two R&B groups on Monday (May 25).

According to reports, Q and Darron have had issues with the rest of the band member from 112 since 2018 when Slim, another member of the band initially blamed Q and Darron for disbanding the group. After the claim from Slim, Q and Darron decided to sue Slim for the use of the name “112” claiming that Slim allegedly tried to file papers to trademark the name of the band behind their backs, according to Bossip.

Back In February, it looked like the group was moving on without Q and Darron because the rest of the group replaced them with two younger dancers. Slim also claimed that
“no man was bigger than the brand.”
