Shaun King Demands White Jesus Statues, Murals & Glass Paintings To Be Taken Down: It’s Racist Propaganda!

Activist Shaun King, who is very vocal on all things that challenge the inequalities against black people, is trending again, this time about the image of Jesus.  In a series of tweets, Shaun King is calling for all statues that portray a “European” version of Jesus to be removed, calling it a form of white supremacy.

“Yes, I think the statues of the white European they claim is Jesus should also come down. They are a form of white supremacy. Always have been. In the Bible, when the family of Jesus wanted to hide, and blend in, guess where they went? EGYPT! Not Denmark. Tear them down.”

He added that murals and stained glass, usually found in churches, should come down as well, calling it “racist propaganda.”

“Yes. All murals and stained glass windows of white Jesus, and his European mother, and their white friends should also come down. They are a gross form white supremacy. Created as tools of oppression. Racist propaganda. They should all come down.”

Shaun King adds that white Jesus is a lie, and that white people made him up so that they wouldn’t have to accept religion from a brown man.

“We can debate rather or not Jesus was real all day long. What I do know, is that white Jesus is a lie. And is a tool of white supremacy created and advanced to help white people use the faith as a tool of oppression. Also, they never would’ve accepted a religion from a Brown man. So they just made up a blonde haired blue eyed European.”

After Shaun King dropped his comments off on Twitter he took them to Instagram where a vast majority of his followers agreed, saying that the world isn’t ready for this conversation yet.

There was a group of people on social media, however, who did not agree.
