Singers Chloe x Halle Talk Embracing Their Stretch Marks: They’re Beautiful!

Singing-songwriting sister duo Chloe Bailey and Halle Bailey have been a buzz ever since the release of their latest album Ungodly Hour. Now, they’re urging their fans to love their own bodies. The two were on Instagram live earlier this week and had an open dialogue about body positivity and self-acceptance.

It started when a viewer had asked Chloe Bailey, 21, how she prevents stretch marks.

Chloe Bailey confessed,

“Girl, who said I didn’t have stretch marks? And guess what, I used to put all of these different oils an conditions on my skin, thinking and praying and hoping they would fix it. Nothing. Nothing worked at all.”

Hailey Bailey, 20, added,

“But you know what? Stretch marks are beautiful. They’re a sign that you’re getting cake, okay? This one here, she has an amazing butt, okay? I’m just saying! I know y’all see it too. She has an amazing butt and stretch marks add to that beauty. Let me tell you, I don’t have a butt. I’m very small… It’s like a grape.”

The grown-ish stars then urged their fans to embrace their bodies, no matter what. Chloe Bailey said,

“Even if you don’t have stretch marks, you are beautiful and you have a great butt. For all the ladies who have the bad stretch marks like me, don’t stress yourself out about it because even still today I’m still learning to like, love them.”

Chloe continues:

“I used to say to myself ‘I’m gonna laser them off, I’m gonna do this and I’m gonna do that’ and I still don’t know what I’m gonna do but I’m learning to live with them and love them. Even as I’ve been working out, they won’t be as red and purple…”

She closed with,

“So yeah,  it’s okay. Still moisturize your skin, I don’t know if that’s gonna fix anything or help lessen them but hey, live with what God gave you. Alright? Amen!”

Halle Bailey also added,

“Or you could be like me too… I have stretch marks and no butt! Me too, girl!”
