RHOA’s Nene and Gregg Leakes Celebrate 23 years Together

NeNe Leakes is celebrating her union with her husband Gregg Leakes. The two have been together for a total of 23 years!

The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star posted a video of the two dancing around and captioned it,

 In another post, she shared a clip from the pair’s second wedding, which Judge Greg Mathis officiated.

She and Gregg Leakes were all smiles in another post that she captioned,

“Happy (2nd wedding) Anniversary to my love Gregg! Whew Chile we have years upon years upon years together and i wouldn’t have had it any other way?? #lifeoftheleakes“

The couple was first married from 1997 to 2011, the year NeNe Leakes filed for divorce. They later remarried in 2013. Nene commented on their relationship and its rocky periods in an interview for her “Uncensored” on TVOne in April 2018.

“Gregg and I went through a bumpy road I would say for about two years. I was very young when I started dating Gregg and he had been married before. I had never been married before and he had children from his previous marriage and I had one child. So we got engaged really quick, like six months in, and we were married like a year later.”

She also revealed why she filed for divorce. Nene said:

“We were super tight, good friends — I mean, we’ve always been that way through me ever knowing Gregg. I think a lot of people were surprised when I filed for divorce. I filed for divorce because I always felt like you have to teach people how to treat you and I felt like at that time that Gregg wasn’t treating me the way I felt I should be treated. It was me teaching Gregg a lesson, and I think he got it.”
