Diddy Congratulates Former Bad Boys Rapper Shyne On Running For Political Office: “I’m So Proud Of My Brother!”
Has Sean “Diddy” Combs let old Bad Boy Records bygones be bygones? Diddy took to Instagram to congratulate his former Bad Boy signee, Shyne (real name Jamal “Moses” Michael Barrow) on his dive into the world of politics. The former rapper is running for office in his native country of Belize. Diddy posted Shyne’s official campaign photo with the following caption:
“@diddy BELIZE I’m so proud of my brother @shyne_bz and the journey he is on.”
He continued:
“He is running for the House of Representatives and needs your support. #BadBoy4Life”

The two spent several years at odds after a 1999 incident at Manhattan’s Club New York when shots rang off – resulting in three people being injured. Jennifer Lopez, Diddy’s then-girlfriend, was also questioned.
Diddy was arrested, but Shyne was ultimately charged with the shooting. He was sentenced to ten years in prison, but served six, and was deported back to Belize. Even fellow New Yorker – rapper, Nas – chimed in on the sticky legal situation on wax. In the 2002 song, “Purple,” Nas rhymed:
“The whole city is mine, prettiest Don / I don’t like the way P. Diddy did Shyne with different lawyers / Why it’s mentioned in my rhymes? F*ck it / It’s just an intro, hate it or love it”
After 12 years of beef, Diddy and Shyne tossed their differences in 2012. However, Shyne doubled back and accused his former labelhead of snitching:
“How can I forgive someone who has no remorse?…I saved @iamdiddy life…I gave @iamdiddy life! His head was on the plate. But I pardoned him! But the only think this creep understands is fear…How do you repay someone who saves your life?…I sat for a decade. While homes was living his life in st.barts I in was in hell because he told on me! How can someone be worth a halfa billion dollars & not take care of the guy that saved his life?”
Have the former Bad Boys come to an agreement? Let us know what you think in the comments.
