Terry Crews Tweets “Defund Pornhub”

Actor, Terry Crews, who is no stranger to being the subject of heated topics, is making headlines over a tweet he posted July 14. His tweet stated,

DEFUND PORNHUB

@FightTheNewDrug

While most pro-porn fans responded that pornography itself is not the problem, (citing sex trafficking being the viable problem), several users responded in confusion asking if the popular porn site was even publicly funded, to make it eligible for defunding in the first place.

Pornhub, which was launched in 2007, is one of the largest pornographic video sharing websites and is privately owned, thus, not making it possible to publicly defund.

This topic is a familiar one for the actor.  In 2016, Terry Crews shared his struggles with porn addiction in a video he posted to social media, claiming that porn

“really, really messed up my life.”

He expressed,

“Some people say, ‘Hey, man … you can’t really be addicted to pornography.’ But I’m gonna tell you something: If day turns into night and you are still watching, you probably have got a problem. And that was me.”

In 2015, Crews opened up about going on a 90-day sex fast with his wife, Rebecca Crews, claiming that the abstinence left him “more in love” and “more turned on” than ever.

Do you agree with Terry Crews that the popular pornography site should be taken down, or are there bigger issues to worry about?  Let us know your thoughts.
