Cardi B Reacts To Criticism Of Offset’s Birkin Bag Gift To 2-Year-Old Daughter Kulture: She Gon’ Match Mommy!

Rapper Cardi B is taking some heat after her husband, Offset, gifted their two-year-old daughter Kulture with an expensive Birkin bag. Kulture‘s second birthday was July 10 and her famous parents threw her a fun LOL Surprise-themed party to celebrate.

The celebration continued on Wednesday night, (July 15), when Offset posted a short video of him giving his daughter a brand new pink Birkin bag. After Offset opened the packaging with a little help from Kulture, the little girl can be seen accepting the bag and immediately putting it on her wrist, matching the pink fairy costume she was wearing.

Many fans jumped in the comments to criticize Offset‘s choice and Cardi B‘s acceptance of the lavish gift. The “I Like It” rapper took to her Instagram stories Thursday morning (July 16) to share her frustration with the comments and said it bothers her that people are so critical when celebrities purchase expensive items for their children.

“I hate when people, like, when celebrities buy they kids jewelry…you know like designer s**t. People be like ‘kids don’t care about that. They only care about toys and candy.’ Yeah, kids only care about toys and candy but the thing is, kids also go outside. Kids go to restaurants. Kids go to fancy places. Celebrity kids they go do red carpets. And if I’m fly and Daddy fly, then so is the kid.”

Cardi B also went on to say she had no problem with Offset‘s gift and that she knew more criticism would be given toward her if Kulture‘s swag didn’t match hers:

“It’s not up to what the kids like. If it was [up] to kids, they would be outside in diapers. ‘Cause if I was lookin’ like a bad b***h, an expensive b***h, and I have my kid lookin like a bum-bum, then y’all would be talkin’ s**t. So I’m not mad that Daddy bought baby a Birkin. She gon’ match Mommy.”
