Eva Marcille Shuts Down Any Chance Of Returning To ‘The Real Housewives Of Atlanta’

Former The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Eva Marcille made it very clear that she won’t return to the Bravo reality show.

Eva Marcille joined the series in season 10 and departed ahead of the upcoming 13th season.

In a sit-down interview with former castmate Kandi Burruss, the model was asked if there was any chance she would return to “RHOA”. Eva Marcille quickly declines and states,

“Because of you [Kandi Burruss] , because of Cynthia [Bailey], you guys have been such a proper representation of black women consistently on TV. We don’t have that. We look for the bafoonery, we look for the who gon’ flip over the table, who gon’ act crazy, who’s gonna bring up somebody’s slanderous f***ed up past, like that’s what the show is for us. And the idea that you can sign up knowing that’s what it is and do it, there’s only one you there’s only one Cynthia, I can’t be Cynthia. I can only be me and they won’t let me be me, they want me to be her. And she’s a crazy a** her.”

She continued,

“It’s not about them wanting me because I was never not asked to come back, no one ever said we don’t want you. That wasn’t the case but I can’t change the show. It’s not gonna change the show because when we go in there we gon’ still ‘yo momma this,’ ‘yo husband sleazy that’ and for me like when I look on Instagram and I see the stuff that you doing, when I see Todd [Tucker]  in the streets, that’s young kings, young queens. We know that looking at it, but I don’t feel that it’s highlighted properly on the show and there’s not enough ranting, raving, and screaming I can do that’s gonna change that.”

Kandi Burruss tells Eva that she’s able to showcase the things that she wants but it’s still not easy. Eva Marcille went on to share what she thought would happen when she joined the housewives franchise and reveals that because she was pregnant back to back, the viewers never got to see her “turned up.”

“Call me naive but I thought I was gonna come and do this housewives thing and the camera was gonna follow me throughout my regular life, I didn’t know I had to plan a life for them to follow. And that’s one thing I can say to all the viewers those that know me in real life or have followed me, I do feel slightly sad about the fact that the true viewers will not be able to see the me that you know, like the real Tina Turn up like the real, real woman because I was pregnant for two years straight so I was still breastfeeding still trying to get my body right. I was still hormonal, trying to fight against postpartum like all of that. Now, my jeans fit, snatched, got my cocktail and I’m ready to pop. I feel like what the world needs from me will be served so much bigger than ‘Housewives.’ I think those that are still there, you, Kenya, Cynthia, Porsha, even NeNe if she decides to come back because at the end of the day honey NeNe is hilarious, Marlo with her being a “Munty”  now. With that group I think that the world is gonna change y’all this year for the show I think its gonna show y’all this whole “sisterhood” that Marlo likes to say every year and then call you a b***h right afterward, I don’t think the b***h is gonna come so quick afterwards.”

Back in June, we exclusively reported the news that Eva would be leaving the show after joining the franchise in Season 10.

The mom of three released a statement at the time and said,

“I appreciate the bond of friendship that I have made with several of my cast mates and the strong personal relationships I have with numerous executives and producers at the Bravo and Truly Entertainment companies. I am thankful for the opportunity I was provided. However, after speaking with my family and representatives, I believe that what I hope to accomplish for the culture and community will be better served by focusing on other opportunities. I look forward to serving my community on ‘The Rickey Smiley Morning Show’ and finding ways to be a voice during this transformational time in our country for people of color.”
