Fast & Furious actor, Tyrese Gibson, took rapper Fat Joe up on the offer to make some clarifying remarks on his past feud with actor, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Tyrese first spoke out against Dwayne Johnson in 2017, calling him a “clown” after the announcement of Johnson’s  Fast & Furious spinoff movie, Hobbs & Shaw.

Tyrese didn’t stop there.  In 2019, he further vented about Johnson’s decision to move forward with the movie, saying that Hobbs & Shaw was not a win.  He posted,

The Rock

The Rock seemingly referenced Tyrese in his response after the movie’s successful box office numbers.

Now, in a virtual chat held on Fat Joe’s “The Fat Joe Show,” Tyrese opened up about his past feud saying,

“It really just came down to survival.”

The Sweet Lady singer who says that he “prides himself on literally not beefing, and not going at nobody,” continued sharing the details on his and The Rock’s situation.

“I’m a hood n*gga that will protect survival at all costs.  And so whatever the politics was, whatever happened, however it happened, you know, I was very vocal about speaking up and speaking out.”

Tyrese continued on,

“It’s not anything in me to say anything new about that man.  Um, I wish him the best, he’s a great father and now a husband.”

He expressed,

“Literally if you look at footage or photos all over the internet, I mean, he’s a giant bear, like he’s just a great, great guy with a big heart, and we just kinda got into a situation that ended up playing out for the world to see.”

Tyrese clarifies,

“I don’t have any ill-will feelings. And, um, you know, we may end up doing Fast [and Furious] 10 and 11 together, you just never know.”

It looks like Tyrese is in a new headspace surrounding the whole feud with his former cast mate.  Tell us your thoughts on Tyrese’s comments?  Write them below.
