Michael Vick’s 2007 Dogfighting Controversy Resurfaces: He Served More Time For Killing Dogs Than Cops Do For Killing Unarmed Black Men!
It’s been 13 years since former NFLer Michael Vick was convicted for felony charges of operating, participating in, and financing a dogfighting organization. While Michael Vick’s cousin was being investigated for drug trafficking, evidence was found that the Bad Newz Kennel facilitated parties to bet on dogfighting matches, with under-performing pups violently executed.
However, since Michael Vick served his time in prison – he’s become an animal rights activist. Years later, the former Atlanta Falcons player is trending on Twitter regarding his crimes. The latest compares his legal troubles to the current civil rights uproar. One Twitter user wrote Sunday (Aug. 16th),
“Michael Vick served more time in jail for killing dogs than the last 493 cops combined did for killing unarmed Black Men”
Neither Michael nor his wife Kijafa Vick has responded to the social media chatter. One of his latest tweets highlighted his home agency – Roc Nation Sports.

Wow, people. The man served his time, laid low, gives money to help educate people about animals, & y’all STILL hate him that bad?
I wish y’all would hold grudges against the damn cops or rapists like Brock Turner like y’all do Mike. pic.twitter.com/jrVj9jLuTi— ? (@CrownAndJoke) August 17, 2020
Since Michael Vick is trending, I’m going to take this opportunity to remind you: he was immediately suspended WITHOUT pay for dogfighting.
But players who commit domestic or sexual assault get a suspension WITH pay on their first offense.
