‘RHOP’ Star Monique Samuels Says Costars Tried To Get Her Fired From The Show

Former friends turned foes, Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard of Real Housewives of Potomac have been on a roller coaster in terms of their relationship, with a physical fight playing out on television for the world to see.

But according to Monique Samuels, some of her other costars have attempted to be strategic in getting her fired from the show following the altercation.  She said,

“They met off camera and had a little meeting and I think that it was very strategic, what they decided to do. They looked at this as an opportunity to possibly get me off the show. They thought they had that type of power to get me fired. So that was very strategic.”

Monique and Candiace have not spoken since the fight in 2019 but the altercation has resulted in a number of charges being filed, and subsequently all of them being dropped.

Although it’s still not clear what happened between the two women, Monique admits that there are “so many layers” as to why the fight went down.  She also expressed sentiments toward Candiace Dillard stating:

“Her and her attorney have literally gone on media campaigns with this whole incident. She’s called me out of my name. She has said that I’m mentally unstable. She has said that I’m unfit to be a mother and parent.”

Samuels continued,

“That’s a whole lot coming from someone who was supposed to be a friend. So that just seems to me that you were never a friend.”

Though Samuels alleges that some her cast mates were attempting to get her fired, Candiace Dillard explains ,

“She did enough damage to get herself fired. I was never involved in the spreading of rumors or plotting that her former friends came up with and she knows that. It’s why she never brought it up to me.”

Dillard added,

“This all could have been avoided if she had kept her hands to herself, or at the very least, owned that she lost control.  Instead, she chose to tell anyone who would listen that I provoked her by throwing a glass. We’ve all now seen the footage.”

The upcoming reunion show will reunite the ladies but as far as Monique Samuels is concerned,

“I am one to never say never. But I’m never going to be friends with her again.”
