Anthony Anderson Documents His Colonoscopy Experience, Shares With Fans [VIDEO]

Sometimes the best way to get through an uncomfortable situation is to laugh your way through, and it seemed like that came easy for funny-man, actor Anthony Anderson.

The 50-year-old Black-ish star uploaded a photo of adult diapers explaining that he was preparing for his first colonoscopy procedure.  He also gave some advice to his followers, suggesting that men of color get the procedure at the age of 45.  He wrote,

Guess what I’m doing tonight? Prepping for my first colonoscopy tomorrow. I suggest all men especially men of color get this done. I say at age 45. By check with your doctor! Health is wealth! #justakidfromcompton

That wasn’t quite all for Anthony, though.  He continued to let his fans in on a behind-the-scenes journey from shopping for adult diapers to his check-in on the day of his procedure. Watch videos below.

The recent Hollywood Walk of Famer continued to shed light on receiving his exam, making a serious matter feel light-hearted for his fans.

A colonoscopy is an exam used to detect changes or abnormalities in the large intestine or rectum and can be used to detect early stages of cancer.  According to reports, in the U.S., current guidelines recommend screening for CRC at age 50 years; however, several professional societies have recommended screening at age 45 years in Blacks.
