Tyra Banks Disputes Rumors She Doesn’t Want Housewives On “Dancing With The Stars”

Model Tyra Banks (real name Tyra Lynne Banks),46, is coming to her own rescue in defending herself against rumors. Recently, a source told Ok! Magazine the Dancing With The Stars host and executive producer Tyra Banks didn’t want select guests to appear on the show:

“Tyra has never been a fan of the Housewives, but the real reason she doesn’t want them on her show is that Bethenny Frankel, NeNe Leakes and Teresa Giudice do not make headlines anymore.”

Tyra Banks, the rumor has no basis. Her publicist, Elana Rose old Page Six on Thursday.

“This is 100 percent untrue.”

Elana Rose went on to say:

“She’s a huge fan of the ‘Housewives’ and everyone knows Tyra is a businesswoman first. As a businesswoman, why would she say anything against the ‘Housewives’? She has nothing to do with casting.”

Banks apparently even went so far as to advocate for a Housewife friend, according to her publicist.

“[She] Just tried to get one of her really good friends on the ‘Housewives!’ She watches the shows. She loves them.”

Before Tyra could clear up the rumor; however former Real Housewife of New York City Bethenny Frankel took her words personally and slammed the model on Thursday, October 22nd. Bethenny Frankel tweeted:

“Good to know @TyraBanks has clumped me in her no more housewives mandate on @DancingABC Also good to know-their casting director Deena, who I *heart emoji has asked me to be on that show multiple x in the last decade. I’m also no longer a housewife, but nobody is bigger than the game Tyra.”

Bethenny Frankel later had a change of heart and deleted the tweet. She then tweeted another message at Banks inviting the model to come on her podcast, but not apologizing.

“I deleted that last post Bc I really like & have a great relationship with Deena Katz from #DWTS . If @tyrabanks wants to come on my podcast, she is welcome anytime as she has built a successful brand on her own in her own way. #justbwithbethenny”
