Eriq La Salle is NOT returning for ‘Coming 2 America’
Eriq La Salle will not appear in the highly anticipated comedy “Coming 2 America”. The actor, who stars on NBC’s “ER”, told The Grio that he will not reprise his role of Darryl Jenks in the “Coming To America” sequel.
When asked, he told journalists
“No. I’ve already given you an answer. No.”
He elaborated,
“Straight to the point. I knew where you were going with it. I’m a little busy right now …with this show.”
Coming 2 America is an upcoming comedy film directed by Craig Brewer, from a screenplay by David Sheffield, Barry W. Blaustein and Kenya Barris, based on characters created by Eddie Murphy.
It is the second installment in the Coming to America film series, and serves as a sequel to the original film. The film stars Murphy, Arsenio Hall, Jermaine Fowler, Leslie Jones, Shari Headley, John Amos, Tracy Morgan, Wesley Snipes and James Earl Jones. The film is being produced by Eddie Murphy, Kenya Barris and Kevin Misher and will hit theaters December 18, 2020.
