FunkFlex Calls Out T.I. For Working With Crime Stoppers And Testifying For Police: Informants Always Wanna Have A Voice
The topic of cooperating with police for the sake of stopping crime has been frowned upon for years, particularly in the hip hop industry. The latest person to be brought up as an informant is rapper, T.I. (born Clifford Harris, Jr.), although in the past he’s already allegedly been identified as a someone who had cooperated with the police.
It’s unclear what prompted the reveal, but popular DJ Funkflex (real name Aston Taylor, Jr.) called out T.I. while sharing the infamous crimestoppers commercial with a post saying,
I have the utmost respect for @troubleman31 !!!! His record making ability is stellar! He’s a positive brother who does everything for his community! He also helps others any chance he gets! BUT PLEASE DONT TRY TO PAINT A NARRATIVE IN SOCIAL MEDIA TO THE YOUNGER GENERATION THAT AINT TRUE! PEEPED ALL YOUR SLICK SOCIAL MEDIA TALK AS YOU TRIED TO ROCK PEOPLE TO SLEEP BEHIND THE SCENES! YOU HAVE AN OPINION AND I GAVE MY OPINION OF YOU! YOU DOING @crimestoppersatlanta AND TESTIFYING IN COURT / TRIAL! WHAT WOULD U CALL THE NEXT MAN THAT DID THAT? COMMENTS OFF! #JustMyOpinion

He continued his thoughts on another post,
Hahahah! Rappers that cooperate/testify for the police talk the loudest in social media! Why do informants always wanna have a voice after they cooperate? @ A rapper u think is an informant?

Even still, FunkFlex didn’t seem to be finished with criticizing the self-proclaimed “King of the South” rapper. He captioned his next post,
Yo! Who made this? Nuts! @troubleman31 lay off them Crime stoppers videos bruh!????? @djhercules_787

T.I. hasn’t directly responded, however he did post a cryptic message in his stories.

FunkFlex is not the first to taunt T.I. about his alleged involvement working with police. Earlier this year, 50 Cent posted the same crimestoppers video, seemingly calling him a snitch after T.I. challenged him to a Verzuz battle.

T.I. addressed this commercial on an livestream video with fellow rapper Fat Joe. He explained the circumstances of the video but also stated,
“Tip has never gave any information to any form of law enforcement to get any man any amount of time for any crime, period.”
