Moniece Slaughter Denies Speculation She Bleaches Her Skin: Never Once In My Life

Former “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” star Moniece Slaughter took to Instagram live to set the record straight amid claims that she bleached her skin.

She first explained while she was promoting a skincare product:

“I don’t know where everybody gets off accusing me of bleaching my skin… We’re gonna unpack this…”

She went on to address critics who pointed out that she was promoting a brightening product.

“I saw somebody say bleaching… This is not for bleaching. I need you guys to get a good grip on the difference between exfoliating and brightening versus bleaching. Bleaching does not brighten. Bleaching deplinishes, bleaching removes melanin, bleaching takes away color, stains, that’s what bleaching does.”

Moniece Slaughter added that the product she’s using isn’t for bleaching because there aren’t any chemicals in it.

She also responded to a handful of comments from social media users that accused her of bleaching her skin as well.

On Monday (Nov. 2nd), Moniece Slaughter shared a series of photos to state her case and added the caption:

“Just woke up. Haven’t even washed my face

ZERO filter of ANY sort.

1st pic: my chest that gets ZERO sunlight. Compared to my arms & hands. My chest is MY WINTER COLOR PERIOD GET OVER IT!! So I’m going to bleach my face but not my lips. I’m going to bleach my face but not my chest, arms, hands, legs, & feet?”
