T.I. Talks Money & Relationships: Whoever Is Paying 100% Of The Bills Has 100% Of The Say, Unless You’re Married
T.I. is no stranger to a headline-making comment that sparks controversy. This time around, he shared his thoughts on household finances.
On his ExpidiTIously podcast, he and guest 21 Savage shared their thoughts on whether couples should go half and half on bills and expenses after moving in together. When asked if couples should go half and half on bills after moving in together, T.I. said:
“The dumbest thing anybody ever did in life, in the history of humanity – to pay the cost and not be the boss… Man, woman, or child. Whoever is paying 100% of the bills, has 100% of the say, unless you’re married…”
That’s not the only head turning statement he made in the episode. He also referred to fathers spending time with their daughters as “thot prevention hours.”
“Me and Lil Duval call it ‘thot prevention hours.’ You gotta put in them thot prevention hours, keep your daughter off the pole… So, you spending time going to daddy/daughter dances and you’re taking them on trips where it’s just you and her, those are thot prevention hours that you’re putting in.”
He continued:
“You got to do that! Your a** don’t do that, well her a** gon’ be somewhere in Magic City man…trying to figure it out.”
